What a weekend we had! Nearly 100 people at Bunny's Friday night. On Saturday morning 35 people went on Tom Balcom's walking tour. Saturday afternoon hearty souls sweated their way through 18 holes of golf. And the crowd of more than 200 at our Saturday night party enjoyed good music, good food and, most of all, good company!
What you should know:
We're going to have a 55th class reunion. Our current committee plus some new members have agreed to organize the event for 2020.
We're going to keep our website and will update it as we have new information for you.
The electronic yearbook is ready and available to classmates who request a copy (everyone who submitted a bio has already received theirs). Send your request to firstname.lastname@example.org. Huge thanks to Carol Renner for creating our yearbook!
We have leftover copies of our class movie on DVD. If you'd like a copy, send a check for $5 to WHS Reunion Committee, 5205 Spring Circle, Shorewood, MN 55331. Be sure to include your mailing address.
We had so much fun being together at our reunion that we have decided to organize a
happy hour every few months so we don't have to wait 10 years to chat and catch up. See
the details of our next event in the Announcements box above. We hope to see you there!
We have set up a Facebook group so classmates can post information or pictures. Membership is restricted to classmates. Tom, Naomi and Sara will admit people and monitor the site for inappropriate comments. Here's what you need to do. Go to your Facebook page (you have to have one) and search for Washburn 1965. Ask to join. You will be admitted and then can submit material or read what other classmates have to say.
It will continue to be important for all of us to keep looking for a still-very-long list of missing classmates. Remember: 'Missing' means we don't have an email address, though we may have street addresses or phone numbers. Send email addresses of missing classmates to email@example.com
It was truly wonderful to spend time with so many of our classmates and to share memories and make some new ones. Here's to our 55th!
Your 2020 Reunion Committee,
Sara Sierk Amaden
